Kassidy Khuu
Kassidy Khuu is a poet and community organizer based in New York City. She was born and raised a child of immigrants in South Brooklyn, and is a junior at Hunter College High School.
Kassidy’s work has been recognized by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, The New York Times, The Poetry Society of New York, and more. She is published in Milk Press,Eunoia Review, and Rattle, and headlined the Youth Stage at the 2025 New York City Poetry Festival. She was a 2025 New York State Youth Poet Laureate Finalist.
Currently, she organizes with the YA-YA Network and HCHS4Equity. As part of her advocacy, she has spoken at The People’s Forum for ICE Out of New York, met with NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani’s team to provide recommendations on education policy, been quoted in Chalkbeat, and more.
When she’s not on the steps of City Hall or hunched over a first draft, she can be found eating hotpot with friends or stargazing on the ceiling. Kassidy believes art is revolution.
