Join us on April 29 for Kevin Alicea [WIP] of The Line. In this solo play, one performer embodies a father and son whose opposing views on policing and social justice collide during the shooting of an unarmed Black man. Inspired by Kevin’s experience during the Ferguson Protests, The Line explores family, conflict, and the complicated work of trying to understand the people closest to us.

About Kevin Alicea
Kevin Alicea is an actor and director from St. Louis, Missouri. A proud alum of The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program, Kevin has had the opportunity to play roles at Asolo Repertory, Virginia Repertory, the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, St. Louis Shakespeare, Writers Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, and others. Kevin has also played television roles on The Chi (Showtime) and 61st Street (AMC & CW).
In addition to acting, he has directed at the University of Virginia and the Virginia Theatre Festival, and served as the Artistic Director of the Passage Theatre Company in Chicago. Kevin is a lifelong soccer player, having played Division I in college and professionally, and is a diehard Manchester United and LA Lakers fan.
Directions | This event takes place at L10 Arts and Cultural Center, on the 4th floor. accessible via elevator. Please allow extra time to arrive, check in, and get settled before the [WIP] begins.
