PRODUCTION

Hi-ARTS and The National Black Theatre presented the New York City premiere of Penn State Centre Stage's Production Of Blood at the Root by award winning playwright Dominique Morrisseau (Skeleton Crew, Detroit '67) and directed By Steve Broadnax. Inspired by the Jena Six, the play examined the miscarriage of justice, racial double standards, and the crisis in relations between men and women of all classes and, as a result, the shattering state of black family life.
