PROJECT ASSOCIATE (PART TIME)

Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Project Associate provides administrative and logistical support for programming which includes: Critical Breaks and Scratch Lab residency programs, full productions, the DC Hip-Hop Theater Festival, curatorial engagements with partner organizations, and visual arts exhibits. The position includes the following responsibilities:

Project

●      Monitor project related benchmarks and deliverables

●      Maintain communication with partners and vendors

●      Schedule internal and external meetings

Administrative

●      Maintain administrative calendars

●      Schedule events, rehearsals and performances on shared calendar

●      Distribute e-blast and other organization related communications

●      Assist with travel and scheduling for the Executive Director

●      Schedule internal and external meetings

●      Keep mailing list updated

●      Assist with managing interns

●      Maintain office supply inventory

Events and Programs

●      Assist with logistics at events

●      Work on special projects when appropriate

●      Represent Hi-ARTS at local community and city wide events as needed

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

●         Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

●         Strong attention to detail

●         Skill at simultaneously managing multiple projects

●         Critical thinking skills applied to prioritizing and executing tasks 

●         Experience working both independently and as part of a team

●         Superior time management skills

●         Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

●         Excellent problem solving skills

●         Core knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, MailChimp and OvationTix

 

Salary Range

$32,000 - $37,000 annual salary and paid time off

 

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 30 hours per week with flexible schedule. Must be available to work on day of events (some weekend events): residency performances, full productions, visual arts exhibit openings, and approximately 10 days in July in Washington, DC.
