[WIP] Homenaje a los Rumberos

Curtis “Tony” Turney

While in residence at Hi-ARTS, Curtis will continue the development of and addition of choreography to Homenaje a los Rumberos. Homenaje a los Rumberos is an original music composition that pays homage to the rich legacy of traditional Afro-Cuban Rumberos and serves as a heartfelt tribute to Rumbero's living and past.

In addition, Curtis will work with collaborators to create a multimedia performance work that will celebrate the masters who shaped Cuban Rumba’s rich history.

Hi-ARTS is located in ElBarrio Artspace PS109 at 215 E. 99th Street in New York, NY. The event will take place in El Barrio Artspace PS109's Gallery, located on the first level of the building.
