Taking Root ‘n’ Talking Roots

Planting & Generational Healing Workshop with Hakim Pitts
11:30 am & 3:00 pm George Washington Houses, Peaceful Antilles Garden

Centered around communal gardening and discussion, Pitts will open workshops with a meditation and then guide participation in discussion on individual and familial histories with the intent to equip participants with tools to foster intergenerational healing. Individual sessions with limited capacity and registration is required.

The Outdoor Film Festival is a 3-day series of interactive workshops and film screenings. With each day given a thematic focal point, the festival is centered around themes of intergenerational healing as it relates to Black and BIPOC communities living in New York City and Harlem.


HEALTH & SAFETY

Hi-ARTS continues our ongoing requirement of individuals to wear masks at all times while in our space. We also ask that audiences provide Proof of Vaccination OR a Negative PCR test taken within the last 72 hours. Audiences will also be asked to complete a contact tracing form upon arrival.
